On Thursday, April 2, at 1:30 p.m. EDT the NASFAA Staff, along with several of your financial aid colleagues, will present FERPA: The Final Rules and Implementation Issues. This 90-minute webinar will review the December, 2008 Final Rules related to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We'll also discuss implementation issues. Topics will include:

• Directory information and student identifiers
• Permissible disclosures for health and safety emergencies
• Disclosures to outside parties providing services on behalf of the institution
• Redisclosure requirements
• Disclosures related to educational research
• Authentication of identity when releasing information
• Several small ticket issues
