ARRA FWS Reporting Countdown: 5 Days to Register, 16 to Report

An Electronic Announcement posted to ED's IFAP Web site on Friday clarified upcoming deadlines and procedures for reporting the use of stimulus (ARRA) funds in the FWS Program. Affected schools (those whose ARRA portion of FWS funding is $25,000 or greater) must register for FWS reporting by October 10, and must submit their first report no later than October 21. The e-announcement also corrects some previous information about registering.

ARRA reporting is generally required on a quarterly basis, within 10 days of the end of the quarter, and so some confusion was generated because of the timing of the decision to require school-based reporting. As a result, special accommodation has been made for the first required report, extending the deadline.

ED will send another e-mail to affected schools no later than October 9 to explain how to derive the information to be reported.
