Register Now For 'Implementing The Post-9/11 GI Bill' Webinar

Registration is now open for the March 3 Webinar "Implementing the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill," co-sponsored by NASFAA, NACUBO, and ACE, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The $189 Webinar will be held at 1:30 p.m. EST.

Beginning August 1, the Post-9/11 GI Bill will provide significantly enhanced educational benefits for veterans, including direct payments to higher education institutions for tuition and fees. This webcast will explain how the Department of Veterans Affairs is planning to administer the program, and what college and university administrators will need to know and do to ensure a smooth transition. Although rules and procedures have not been finalized, our presenters will provide current information on allowable charges, calculation of benefits, payment procedures, overpayments, and the optional Yellow Ribbon program that provides a dollar-for-dollar match of institutional contributions for "gap" funding.

Note: This program will not cover the basic provisions of the new GI Bill. Attendees are asked to watch (or listen to) a separate pre-recorded introductory presentation before participating in this Webcast. "Overview of the Post-9/11 GI Bill" will be available prior to the Webcast, without charge, as a 30-minute video or podcast for you to access when your schedule permits. (Attendance at one of the regional meetings held in January provided similar information.)
