Subject: FSA COACH - Redesign and 2008-2009 Update
Summary: This letter announces the newly redesigned FSA COACH, an introductory
Web-based tutorial on federal student aid administration.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce the release of new and improved editions of FSA
COACH, both for domestic and foreign schools. These self-paced online courses,
written at an introductory level, have been redesigned and fully updated for
the 2008-2009 Award Year. The courses are available on the Information for Financial
Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site at http://www.ifap.ed.gov/ifap/fsacoach.jsp.
In addition to the programmatic updates to the training content, the FSA COACH
courses have a brand new look and feel, with a more interactive and friendly
user interface.
FSA COACH for Domestic Schools offers 37 lessons on federal student aid administration
for schools located in the United States (U.S.). FSA COACH for Foreign Schools
offers 23 lessons on federal student aid administration for schools not located
in the U.S. that serve U.S. students who receive Federal Family Education Loan
(FFEL) Program loans.
All FSA COACH lessons can be completed individually or as a full course, allowing
users to tailor the training to their specific needs. In addition, the lessons
feature hyperlinks to other Federal Student Aid information and products, interactive
exercises, review questions, and quizzes that help learners assess their mastery
of the course material.
We hope you enjoy the new and improved FSA COACH courses, and we welcome your
comments or questions. To comment or ask a question, please contact us at fsacoach@ed.gov.
Sincerely,
Jana Hernandes
