University of Nevada, Las Vegas Chooses Financial Aid TV

Online Video Service Reduces Costs, Saves Time, Improves Counseling and Outreach

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Financial Aid TV (FATV), a leading supplier of online video counseling and outreach solutions for college financial aid offices, announced today a new addition to its online network.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is the latest school to take advantage of Financial Aid TV's customized online video counseling and outreach solutions.

"The University of Nevada, Las Vegas has been utilizing the Financial Aid TV service for approximately 3 months. The office has been pleased with the volume of students utilizing the videos," said Norm Bedford, Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships at UNLV.

"The office has integrated key videos into our main financial aid web site. This has helped our students understand financial aid more clearly by blending the content from our web site with a short video clip to fill in any details." Added Bedford: "Many southwestern states have experienced the largest FAFSA application increases within the nation because of the depressed global economy. Financial Aid TV is helping to reduce basic financial aid questions to the office which could otherwise be answered from a compliment of clear and concise videos." "In these tough economic times, schools are being challenged to do more with less," said Paul Burke, VP of Sales for Financial Aid TV. "FATV is an affordable turn-key solution designed to assist all schools, from traditional brick and mortar institutions to online distance education." Added Burke: "Students often times do not read the materials put out by financial aid offices. Our service connects with students in a 'YouTube' format that they can relate to."

Schools are deploying FATV in a variety of ways, including:

  • To Increase FA Applications
  • To Improve Default Aversion Efforts
  • To Improve Customer Service
  • To Reduce Student Wait Times
  • To Reduce Student Phone Calls
  • To Expand Counseling Reach

Free webinars are held weekly for schools interested in learning more. Schools can sign-up at www.financialaidtv.com or contact Paul Burke, VP of Sales at paul@financialaidtv.com or call 1-888-704-9090.
