Subject: Live Internet Webinar - HEOA Changes to FFEL and Direct Loan Programs
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce instructor-led, online training that will focus
on changes to the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) and William D. Ford Federal
Direct Loan (Direct Loan) programs made by the Higher Education Opportunity
Act (the HEOA), Pub. L. 110-315. The training is intended for all schools that
participate in the FFEL and Direct Loan programs.
We will present this information in a 90-minute session and will offer the
session on four different days to provide ample opportunity for those interested
in attending.
The schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, April 30, 2009, 3:00 P.M. (ET)
- Wednesday, May 13, 2009, 2:00 P.M. (ET)
- Tuesday, June 2, 2009, 1:00 P.M. (ET)
- Monday, June 8, 2009, 12:00 P.M. Noon (ET)

Advance registration is required for this training and will be available on

Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee
should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including
linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation
information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or
her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or
she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask
questions electronically using their computers.
