MSU Offers New Scholarship For Montana Freshmen
Montana State University is offering a new scholarship for incoming freshmen from Montana.
MSU will be awarding Distinction Scholarships for new freshmen from Montana. The amount of the one-time awards will range $500 to $1,000, according to Ronda Russell, director of the MSU Office of Admissions. The scholarships will be applied toward tuition.
"MSU is dedicated to helping Montana students to pursue their dreams," Russell said. "We want to help make higher education possible for Montana families."
Russell said all Montana students who have not already received MSU University Scholarships may apply for the new award. Interested students must apply for admission to MSU for fall 2009 and submit an MSU Distinction Scholarship application as soon as possible. Both applications may be found online at the MSU Office of Admissions Website at: http://www.montana.edu/admissions/scholarshipsres.shtml
Applicants must also request that ACT and/or SAT scores be sent to MSU. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Students selected to receive the scholarships will be notified by mail.
The new scholarships are limited in number and will be awarded as long as the funding pool for the new scholarships lasts, Russell added.
"We encourage students who have not already applied for admission and scholarships to do so as soon as possible," she said.
