Financial Aid Administrator Salaries Compare Favorably To Campus Peers

Salary survey data released last month by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) shows that median financial aid administrator salaries for 2008-09 were competitive with and even topped salaries of administrators in other student services roles.

The CUPA-HR 2009 Administrative Compensation Survey gives unweighted median salaries across institution types by administrative function.

The median salary for Chief Enrollment Management Officer was $122,044; Director of Financial Aid and Admissions, $93,953; and Director of Financial Aid, $74,261. Other student services median salaries were: Director, Admissions and Registrar, $70,065; Registrar, $71,764; Bursar, $65,000; Director of Academic Advising, $63,775; and Director of Student Housing, $64,688.
