The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) has updated the College Navigator Web site to include all the new data items required by the Higher Education Opportunity Act. The site makes the latest data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) accessible to students and parents.
The latest update added:
new student financial aid categories
federal loan data by type are now available on the Federal Loans page, along with default rates
student-faculty ratios
undergraduate students enrolled who are registered with the office of disability services
200 percent graduation rates
updated enrollment data for Fall 2008
This update also includes the new Multi-Year Tuition Calculator that estimates the total tuition costs over the duration of a typical program at institution.
The search function by Institution Type has also been expanded to include 4-year, primarily Associate's institutions in both 4-year and 2-year search results.
