FA 102: The Application Process

In this course, we will present an overview of application processing, with specific reference to proper completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). Our objectives are to enable you to:

  • Determine whether an applicant is a dependent or an independent student; and

  • Learn to recognize the general format of the paper FAFSA.

This course contains 6 lessons:

  • Lesson 1: Introduction and Overview

  • Lesson 2: FAFSA Formats

  • Lesson 3: Completing FAFSA on the Web Steps 1 & 2

  • Lesson 4: Completing FAFSA on the Web Steps 3-9

  • Lesson 5: Processing FAFSA Data

  • Lesson 6: Making Changes and Adjustments to FAFSA Data
