Constituent Membership

NASFAA's bylaws state, "Constituent membership in the association is open to educational associations, governing agencies, and other organizations involved in providing educational services, and individuals having an interest in promoting the effective administration of student financial aid.

  • An association, agency or organization holding such membership in the association shall designate an individual to serve as a liaison between such member entity and the association.
  • Constituent members of the association may not vote in association matters nor hold office in the association, but may serve on association committees."

Applying for Membership

If you are joining NASFAA for the first time, please review the dues and tier information below, before completing an online Membership Application. If you have any questions, contact Membership Services via e-mail or call (202) 785-0453, Ext 1.

Membership Dues

Dues cover membership for twelve months, July 1 to June 30. If you join mid-year, your dues will be prorated. Membership dues include:

  • Entitlements - the number of entitlements you receive is based on your organization's Tier level. See additional information below.
  • Access to NASFAAOnline for five members of your staff, in addition to your entitlement amount.
  • Unlimited online Directory listings for you and your staff.
  • A listing in our online Buyer's Guide, inlcuding a brief organization description and a link to your Web site.
  • The ability to post headlines from your organization's press releases in NASFAA's Today's News daily email.
  • Member-only pricing on advertising and exhibiting.
  • The option to purchase mailing labels.

Membership Tiers

Dues are based on your organization's annual revenue from financial aid. You will have the opportunity each year upon renewal of your membership, to make adjustments to your organization's tier level, which also affects the number of entitlements your organization receives.

*Each entitlement includes Today's News, Student Aid Transcript magazine, the Journal of Student Financial Aid, and access to NASFAAOnline, the member-only areas of the NASFAA Web site.
