A Brief Explanation of NASFAA's Entitlement
Benefits
When an institution or organization joins NASFAA, the primary
contact* selects a membership dues option or
tier.
Several dues levels are available
to accommodate the wide variety of budgets and staff sizes associated with
institutions
and other non-institutional
organizations.
Each dues level comes with a set number of “entitlement benefits.” An
entitlement benefit refers to NASFAA's print publications, Student
Aid Transcript magazine
and the
Journal of Student Financial Aid, as well as a subscription to Today's
News. In addition, membership includes a minimum of five NASFAAOnline subscriptions,
which come with Today's News. Everyone with NASFAAOnline can
access scores of member-only products and services available on the NASFAA
Web site, including the very popular Self-Evaluation Guide and Salary & Staffing
Tools.
The primary contact* at each institution or organization assigns entitlements
and benefits to staff by by accessing the new
Membership
Management area on the NASFAAA Web site or by contacting Membership
Services.
Subscription to Today’s News
Subscribers receive a morning e-mail from NASFAA on
student aid related issues. It keeps you informed and updated every weekday
using
a variety of national and state news outlets, as well as NASFAA-generated
content.
Print Publications
Individuals receive printed copies
of Student Aid Transcript – NASFAA’s award-winning
magazine and the Journal of Student Financial
Aid, a scholarly,
research publication. NASFAA also publishes both of these publications
online as Adobe Acrobat PDF files.
NASFAAOnline*
This benefit gives you access to the member-only products and services
available on the NASFAA Web site. NASFAA does not have a member-only area.
Instead, we integrate member-only products and services with information that
is available to the public, allowing you to search the entire Web site by topic.
When you reach a member-only product or service, you will be asked to login.
Once logged in, the system will keep you logged in for the duration of your
session.
If your institution is a Value or Value Plus member, or you have a separate
subscription to the NASFAA Encyclopedia of Student Financial Aid,
you will be able to access the Encyclopedia without having to sign in again.

*What is myNASFAA and how does it relate to NASFAAOnline?
myNASFAA is your professional account with NASFAA. It includes your personal
contact information, online preferences, professional interests, experience,
and more. Members and non-members can create a myNASFAA account, but only
members will be able to access NASFAAOnline, the association’s online,
member-only tools and services.
Anyone who wants to conduct business with NASFAA on the Web – including
registering for a conference or webinar, or purchasing a publication, must
create (and update) a myNASFAA account. Your myNASFAA account goes with you
when you change jobs.
Remember: a myNASFAA account does NOT automatically give you access
to NASFAAOnline.
If you are at a member institution or organization, the primary contact* needs
to assign you access. If you are not affiliated with a member institution or
organization, do what thousands of your colleagues have already done and join
now
If you have any questions about benefits, please contact Membership Services or
call (202) 785-0453 Ext.1.
