NASFAA and For Love of Children - Help Children Discover and Build on their Dreams for a Bright Future….

Each year since 1994, NASFAA conferees have generously assisted local nonprofit organizations with donations and gifts. The 2007 Conference Committee selected "For Love of Children (FLOC)" a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has worked to protect and inspire thousands of Washington, DC's most vulnerable children and youth, and to strengthen their families, since its founding in 1965.

Today, FLOC's mission is to offer educational services that equip high-risk children and youth with the skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty, become life-long learners, and make substantial contributions to their communities.

Through their Neigbborhood Tutoring Program in both math and reading, FLOC helps students achieve grade level competency. Reading students achieved an average of one year and one month grade level improvement after 22 hours of tutoring instruction; math students achieved an average of one year and two months grade level improvement after 18 hours of tutoring instruction.

We hope you will help NASFAA's efforts to support For Love of Children!!

For Love of Children is looking for monetary donations to help support their program. Information on how to make a donation will be available at the conference in Washington, DC. If you are unable to attend the conference, but would like to support FLOC, information will be available on this web site later this Spring.
