About Donations

All companies are eligible to become a donor. Donors contribute to NASFAA's general annual conference fund. Donors will receive recognition before, after and for the duration of the Conference.

Suggested Minimum Donation - $5,500

In return for the donation, each donor will receive:
  1. Logo displayed on large screens at
    1. Monday Morning General Session
    2. Annual Business Meeting
    3. Closing Breakfast
  2. Company logo displayed on email station screensavers
  3. Logo displayed on large signs in registration area
  4. Logo printed on recognition page within Pre-Conference and Conference Programs
  5. Company name listed on Conference web site
  6. Recognition within Student Aid Transcript magazine issues #2 and #3 2009
  7. NASFAA will send a minimum of 3 email blasts prior to the Conference announcing the donor companies
Important Information

NASFAA business practices require we have a minimum of (3) donors. If NASFAA does not secure the minimum, funds donated will be refunded.

NASFAA is a non-profit public benefit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable educational entity exempt from taxation pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and to whom charitable contributions may be made pursuant to Section 509(a)(3) of the Code. Based upon discussions with various parties with an interest in these activities, particularly but not limited to the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York, NASFAA advises organizations contemplating support of NASFAA’s exempt activities that such support should be characterized as a charitable contribution, and should be so recorded on the books of the supporting organization.

About Sponsorships

NASFAA has a number of sponsorship opportunities available which will help your company achieve maximum exposure at the NASFAA National Conference.

Multiple companies may sponsor events listed below. Items are limited to one sponsoring company.

Not all companies are eligible to become a sponsor. If you are interested in sponsoring an event or item, please review this questionnaire to confirm eligibility.

Badge Lanyards...$8,000
Badge Lanyards are inserted in each Conference registration bag which is handed to each conference attendee. As a sponsor, your company name or logo is imprinted on the lanyard along with NASFAA's. This is a guaranteed way of putting your name in front of every attendee throughout all four days of the conference.

Beverage Breaks…$2,700
Beverage breaks are offered in the morning on Monday and Tuesday and in the afternoon on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. You will have the option to provide empty water bottles, napkins or coffee stirrers, with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during these breaks and your company name will be placed on all break signs

Board of Director's Reception…$10,000
The Board of Director's reception takes place Saturday evening before the start of the Conference. NASFAA Board members, their guests and NASFAA Committee members attend this invitation-only event. By sponsoring this event, your company will gain exposure to the leadership of NASFAA and the regional associations. You will have the option to provide napkins with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during the reception and your company name will be placed on all event signs. The sponsor will also receive an invitation for two to attend the event.

Breakfast for Past Presidents & National Chairs...$1,800
This program is an invitation-only event designed for Past Presidents and National Chairs of NASFAA. As the sponsor, your company name will be placed on all signs at the event and your company will be acknowledged at the breakfast.

Conference Registration Bags...$19,000
Conference registration bags are provided to each conference attendee along with their registration materials. As a sponsor, your company name or logo will be imprinted on each bag along with the NASFAA logo and will be carried by everyone throughout the Conference. This is a guaranteed way of putting your name in front of every Conference attendee.

Continental Breakfast…$3,500
A continental breakfast is offered Monday and Tuesday morning. The breakfast will include hot and cold beverages, breakfast pastries, and fruit and yogurt. You will have the option to provide coffee mugs, napkins or coffee stirrers, with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during these breakfasts and your company name will be placed on all breakfast signs.

Diversity Connection Event...$5,400
Approximately 200 attendees are expected to gather for this networking event. As a sponsor of this event, you will have the option to provide a gift or literature packet (at company's expense) to be distributed at the event and your company name will be placed on all signage.

Monday Luncheon...$6,500
Your company name will be displayed on large screens in the room and you will have the opportunity to provide a gift or literature packet to be placed on each chair (at company's expense). As of this time, a speaker has not yet been confirmed.

National Chair's Reception...$10,000
The official Welcome Reception for the Conference is a not-to-be-missed event for Conference attendees. This year it will coincide with the opening of the exhibit hall. As a sponsor, you will have the option to provide napkins, with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during the reception. In addition, your company name will be placed on all signs and announcements about the event.

Notepads...$6,500
A notepad will be inserted into each Conference registration bag, which is handed to each conference attendee. As a sponsor, your company logo will be imprinted on each page of the note pad, along with NASFAA's.

Opening Keynote Address...$20,000

As sponsor of this event, you will be acknowledged as the sponsor during the opening of the 2009 NASFAA National Conference. Your company name will be displayed on large screens in the room and you will have the opportunity to provide a gift or literature packet to be placed on each chair (at company's expense). As of this time, a speaker has not yet been confirmed.

Orientation and Continental Breakfast for Committee Chairs & Members...$1,800
Attended by NASFAA's leadership, this breakfast is the inaugural meeting of NASFAA's Committees. As a sponsor, your company will have the opportunity to be recognized by NASFAA Members who are active in the financial aid community. The sponsor of this breakfast will be acknowledged on all signage at the event.

Pens...$4,000
A pen will be inserted into each Conference registration bag, which is handed to each conference attendee. As a sponsor, your company logo will be imprinted on each pen, along with NASFAA's.

Pocket Program...$7,500
Pocket programs are given to each conference attendee. As a sponsor, your company name or logo is imprinted on the pocket program. This is a guaranteed way to put your name in front of every attendee throughout all four days of the conference.

Registration List...$5,000
Each conference attendee will receive a copy of the invaluable registration list, which is inserted into each Conference portfolio. As a sponsor, your company name and logo will be displayed on the front cover, along with NASFAA's.

Room Key Cards...$6,000
Imprint your message on the room key cards at each of the conference hotels (who permit sponsors to print on their cards). Room key cards are given to each attendee upon check-in at the hotel. The sponsor may have room key cards printed with their company name and logo for distribution to each attendee. It is the responsibility of the sponsor to arrange for the printing of the card and to pay any additional charges assessed by the hotel to allow for the printing of the card. Charges assessed by the hotel would be paid directly to the hotel and would be in addition to the sponsorship fee, which is paid to NASFAA. Regional/State Award Banners...$1,800
The NASFAA Regional/State Awards are given annually to four state associations (and one regional association) that have, through their innovation and dedication, developed outstanding projects that contribute to the financial aid profession. The Award Banners themselves are displayed at the Annual Business Meeting at which the award is announced prior to being presented to the winning association.

Tuesday Evening Reception…$6,500
Be part of the final evening of the 2009 National Conference by sponsoring the Tuesday evening reception. As a sponsor, you will have the option to provide napkins, with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during the reception. In addition, your company name will be placed on all signs and announcements about the event.

Tuesday Luncheon...$6,500
Your company name and/or logo will be displayed on each of the box lunches given to attendees. You will have the option to provide napkins with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during the lunch and your company name will be placed on all luncheon signs.

Water Bottles...$7,000
Help NASFAA go green! Each attendee will receive a water bottle with sponsor logo imprinted on it in their registration bag. They will be encouraged to use these bottles throughout the conference by refilling them at water stations located throughout the convention center, at breaks and at the continental breakfasts.

Welcome & Orientation for New Member & First-Time Conferees...$3,600
This event is an important networking event for the new faces at NASFAA. As sponsor, you will have the option to provide napkins, with your company's logo imprinted on them (at company's expense), to be used during the event, your company name will be placed on all event signage and you will be acknowledged as the sponsor during announcements made at the event.

In Return for Your Sponsorship
All sponsors will be listed in the Conference Program. In addition, all sponsors will receive:

  • $1,800 - $3,199 - One full registration
  • $3,200 - $7,299 - Two full registrations
  • $7,300 - $10,299 - Three full registrations
  • $10,300 - $14,999 - Four full registrations
  • $15,000 or more - Five full registrations
