Suggested Topics for Research Projects and Articles
Projects and articles that address any financial aid-related topic are invited, particularly those that focus on the federal student aid programs, need analysis, delivery, and management/ administration. Some suggested topics include:
Institutional impact of actual or proposed changes in higher education law, regulations, and program appropriations
Relationship of grants, loans, work, or childcare subsidies to student persistence
Impact of undergraduate indebtedness on decisions about graduate education or career choice
Technology use in financial aid administration
Middle and high school awareness and planning for postsecondary education
Economic, social, and cultural benefits of higher education
The role of financial aid in enrollment management, including institutional aid and tuition discounting
Need analysis theory
New strategies for meeting the needs of students
Distance education, including Web-based and computer-based learning
Note that these are only suggestions; they are not intended to limit the scope of proposed research or article topics.
