James Anderson
EASFAA Representative, Montclair State University
Jim Anderson is the director of financial aid at Montclair State University, a position he has held since 2010. Jim has worked in various capacities in higher education financing for 43 years. Jim was previously the financial aid director at Fairfield University and the University of New Haven and was the director of student financial services at Columbia University. In addition, Jim worked in financial aid at New York University, was on the staff of the College Scholarship Service at the College Board, and was a regional sales manager for Sallie Mae. Jim has been active in state and regional professional organizations, serving as vice president and president of EASFAA, vice president and president of NJASFAA and vice president of CAPFAA. He has served on numerous committees and task forces over the years. Jim received his bachelor's degree from Bates College and master's degree from the University of New Haven.
