NASFAA Supports Capital IDEA

Austin has been a gracious host to NASFAA - so let’s give back to the community by supporting Capital IDEA. This Austin-based organization provides financial support and professional guidance to non-traditional students who want to further their education and advance in their career.

Representatives from Capital IDEA were on-site at our conference to provide more information about the organization and accept donations.  We know our members are generous, so let’s see how much we can raise to help support this organization!

Monetary donations are the easiest and quickest way to support this organization.  Take a look at this list below to see how far your donation can go.

• $30 will cover the college entrance exam fee for one adult ready to return to college
• $50 will cover the HESI exam required for entry into the nursing program
• $85 will cover one college credit hour for a full-time student attempting 9-15 hours per semester
• $120 will cover the average textbook cost for one college course
• $200 will cover the license test fee for an associate degree-holding nurse graduate ready to enter the workforce
• $500 will cover half the cost for an adult to complete the College Prep Academy
