Subject: Live Internet Webinar – Correcting Reported Gainful Employment Data in NSLDS

Summary: This letter announces an upcoming webinar that will provide information about the reporting process in NSLDS for GE programs, including how to correct previously-reported data.

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce that on February 28, 2018 we will present a webinar on the Gainful Employment (GE) program reporting process. This webinar will review how institutions report GE program data to the Department using the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®) and will include helpful information on correcting previously-reported GE program data. The webinar will emphasize the importance of ensuring correct GE program data has been reported to the Department, particularly as institutions prepare for the next release of the GE Completers List.

Please note, the webinar will cover topics related to current GE regulations only and will not address the ongoing negotiated rulemaking process.

Federal Student Aid staff will present this webinar in a 90-minute session offered on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. Eastern time (ET).

Note: There may be a difference between a trainee’s local time and Eastern time. To determine local time and its Eastern time zone equivalent, click on this link:

Advance registration is required for this training and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To allow for as many participants as possible, we strongly encourage groups to view the webinar from a single location if accommodations allow. If viewing as a group, only one person from the group needs to register.

To register for the webinar, click on this link:

Once registered, we will send an email confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the website, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.

Note: If you do not receive the email confirmation, please check your junk or spam email folder and notify your IT administrator that messages from the email address “[email protected]” should not be blocked.

PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.

We look forward to your participation in this instructor-led, online training opportunity.
