ED Provides More Details on Application Process, Priorities for New Grant Program to Address Unmet Need

The Department of Education (ED) last week released an FAQ document providing new information and clarifications regarding the Institutional Resilience and Expanded Postsecondary Opportunity (IREPO) grant program. The grants are intended to provide financial support to institutions of higher education that demonstrate unmet financial need due to the ongoing pandemic.

ED in the FAQ document clarified which institutions may apply for the grants, and how they may do so, among other things. Additionally, the FAQ provided further information on the competitive priorities laid out in the initial release and the selection criteria for institutions that apply.

The deadline for institutions to submit their applications is 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 20.
