NASFAA Mention: Richard Cordray to Head Federal Student Aid Office

"Education Secretary Miguel Cardona on Monday named Richard Cordray, the first director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to head the federal aid office that oversees the government’s $1.5 trillion student loan portfolio," The Washington Post reports.

...“'Cordray brings political and practical experience unlike any previous FSA chief operating officer. He will need those skills and more to address the significant challenges ahead,' said Justin Draeger, president of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators."
