NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Starting July 1, 2021, NASFAA’s Standards of Excellence (SOE) Review Program will be administered by Blue Icon Advisors, NASFAA’s wholly owned consulting subsidiary. NASFAA has provided the SOE program to members for over 20 years. The purpose of the SOE program and the value schools receive will not change with Blue Icon. SOE reviews will still be conducted by a team of currently practicing financial aid administrators and will provide a holistic evaluation of schools’ financial aid administration.

NASFAA's 2021-22 Self-Study Guides are now available as downloadable PDF documents. Written for the independent learner, each Self-Study Guide includes multiple lessons with a variety of exercises to reinforce each lesson. You'll study independently and take quizzes in a traditional paper format (not online). Then you can qualify to take the related credential test and potentially earn a NASFAA Professional Credential. Each purchase grants everybody on your roster access to download that topic. Additionally, all Self-Study Guides are included in Value Plus memberships, and Value memberships include six specific Self-Study Guide topics. Any available item is indicated with an "Access" button throughout the site. Be sure you're logged in, and that your NASFAA membership is paid in full so "Access" displays for included items; review your membership invoice online.

NASFAA announced the launch of the Certified Financial Aid Administrator® Program at the 2019 NASFAA National Conference in Orlando, FL. Fast forward two years and now hundreds of financial aid administrators across the country -- in every region and almost every state -- have earned the FAAC® designation. Dozens more are approved to participate. Ready to join your peers on the Registry? Learn more about how you can become an FAAC® at www.nasfaa.org/certification.
