On Thursday, July 22 at 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT, John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY) — a nonprofit that works throughout California to improve the quality of life for youth who have been in foster care or homeless — will be hosting a free webinar exploring the impact of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards and policies on financial aid receipt and enrollment of first-year Pell Grant recipients attending a California Community College. Specific attention will be paid to the impact on students of color and those with experience in foster care.
