A recently released study from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is offering an administrative data collection of national- and state-level representative data on postsecondary students enrolled in the 2017-18 academic year. The underlying data is comprised of administrative records on student financial aid, enrollment, demographic characteristics, institution characteristics, and income for approximately 245,000 undergraduate students and 21,000 graduate students attending 1,900 postsecondary institutions. 

Those individuals who qualified for purposes of Section 2202 of the CARES Act and made a coronavirus-related retirement distribution from January 1, 2020 to December 30, 2020 are provided flexibility by the IRS to pay taxes on the distributions over a three-year period.  NASFAA has received several questions on this topic and how it relates to reporting these distributions on the FAFSA.
