The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has unveiled its initial analysis of President Joe Biden’s student loan debt cancellation action, determining the cost of outstanding student loans to the federal government will increase by about $400 billion due to debt cancellation.

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona will join Excelencia in Education at 5:00 p.m. ET this Thursday, September 29, in a special online event that will celebrate the impact of evidence-based programs in higher education that intentionally serve Latino students. The “Examples of Excelencia '' event will recognize programs at the associate, baccalaureate, and graduate levels as well as at community-based organizations that have demonstrated the ways in which they have accelerated Latino student success in postsecondary education.
