NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Financial Aid Day (FAD) is just one week away on October 19! This special day is set aside to celebrate the contribution of all financial aid professionals across the United States for helping students make their college-going dreams a reality. On FAD colleagues are encouraged to do something special — have an office party, a potluck, a toast, etc. to celebrate financial aid administrators' contributions to the profession. How is your office planning to celebrate FAD 2022? Be sure to share your stories and photos with NASFAA!

What makes a strong candidate for NASFAA National Chair? We are seeking someone who works full-time at a NASFAA member institution, has demonstrated leadership at the state or regional level, has experience with facilitating meetings and public speaking, and is committed to upholding NASFAA’s code of ethics. If you — or anyone you know — fits the bill, please nominate yourself or a qualified colleague for the role of NASFAA National Chair by Wednesday, November 2 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Nominations are also being accepted for representatives-at-large.

Professional judgment (PJ) is sometimes viewed as one of the more challenging aspects of Title IV program administration. Aid administrators are required to act within the PJ authority and clearly document decisions made. This webinar will teach you guiding principles and assist in their application on your campus.
