As of Wednesday morning, it’s unclear which party will control the House and Senate as votes are still being counted and key races remain too close to call. Currently, The New York Times predicts the Senate will lean Democratic, while Republicans will likely take the House. The races that have been called include John Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, who won the state’s open Senate seat. J.D. Vance, author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” defeated Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan in Ohio’s Senate race. And Sen. Patty Murray, chair of the Senate education committee, won reelection — though the Senate education committee will likely see new leadership during the next congressional session. The key Senate races yet to be called include Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, and Wisconsin. Stay tuned to Today’s News and “Off The Cuff” for more election results.

"Growth" was the word of the year for Blue Icon Advisors, NASFAA Consulting. Not only has Blue Icon grown in the number, size, and scope of projects, but they have also increased the number of their independent consultants and staff. This growth is important to the continued expansion of Blue Icon's consulting services. The number of contracts signed has nearly doubled each year since Blue Icon launched in 2019, with a total of 183 projects across 127 schools through June 2022.
