NEWS FROM NASFAA

Data doesn’t lie, but like many facets of the financial aid process, it can be complicated by the ways in which it is aggregated, reported, and presented to students. A group of policy experts convened on Wednesday to share their thoughts on the ways in which institutions and federal leaders could provide students with better access to postsecondary data.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Whether you're ready to be back, learning side-by-side with other aid administrators... or not quite ready for a big, in-person event, NASFAA has an opportunity for you to connect with peers, teach, learn and share best practices in summer 2023. We're pleased to announce registration is now open for the NASFAA 2023 National Conference, which will take place June 29-July 2, 2023, in San Diego, California. The NASFAA 2023 Virtual Conference, held July 10-13, 2023, will consist entirely of unique sessions not offered at the NASFAA 2023 in-person conference and registration will be institutional rather than individual, so for one low cost everyone on your NASFAA roster can participate. Join us for one or both!

New Director Group Coaching, provided by NASFAA's Blue Icon Advisors, is ideal for financial aid administrators with less than one year of experience at the director level. You'll work alongside a small group of other new financial aid directors as you discuss compliance-related matters, develop an operational calendar, learn about how to identify and support your staff's professional development needs, and draft a strategic plan to work toward and bolster the goals and activities of your office. The start date for the next six-week cohort is March 3. Register today to reserve your spot.

The most recent certification testing window has closed and the Registry continues to grow! Hundreds of financial aid professionals across the country now hold the FAAC® designation. Certified by the Certified Financial Aid Administrator® Commission, these individuals now qualify to receive a multitude of benefits. If you’re interested in becoming certified, the next testing window opens on February 22, 2023. Explore your eligibility today using our free interactive eligibility tool.
