NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Make sure to tune in today February 22, at 2 p.m. ET, for a discussion with NASFAA President Justin Draeger, who will provide a framework for how you can create your own personal knowledge management system to foster creativity. Whether we see it or not, everyone has the potential to be creative — not just the brainstormers among us. In this webinar Justin will discuss the ways in which professionals can develop their own personal knowledge management system, and provide tips on how you can decipher, organize, and make sense of incoming data in order to come up with the creative connections needed to tackle your biggest challenges. Secure your seat now.

It's that time again — Financial Aid Awareness Month has nearly come to an end! This year, we want to know how you, our members, have been spreading awareness. Need some ideas? Utilize social media to spread the word, lead a Q&A session for prospective college students, or host a virtual meet-and-greet for students to interact with your office. Be sure to keep NASFAA in the loop by sharing about your Financial Aid Awareness Month efforts and events on social media using the hashtag #FinAidFeb, and by posting photos on our Facebook page. Plus, share your outreach efforts using our raffle submission form no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, February 27. We'll choose three financial aid offices at random to win pizza for their office. Thank you for all you do!

Financial aid professionals are seen as experts when it comes to awarding, processing, and disbursing federal Title IV aid, while maintaining compliance with the rules and regulations. But getting new team members up to speed can be tricky, especially when offices are short-staffed and experiencing high turnover. Blue Icon Advisors’ custom training team can work with you to determine your staff training needs and develop a plan and timeline to meet your training goals. Contact Blue Icon today to learn more and get started on your next custom training project.
