NEWS FROM NASFAA

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on Wednesday released a report highlighting unlawful junk fees uncovered in deposit accounts and in multiple loan servicing markets, including student loans.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

NASFAA recently made corrections to its SAI Modeling Tool to correct the Parent Contribution from Adjusted Available Income calculation and to fix a copying error in another tab of the modeling tool. Both changes are detailed in the SAI Modeling Tool landing page. The impacts on Pell Grant estimates and SAIs are expected to be relatively minor in the aggregate.

NASFAA is seeking volunteers to participate in the NASFAA Choir for the 2023 Opening Session in San Diego. If you are planning to attend the conference, and would like to lend your voice to the National Anthem and another vocal number to be determined, we'd love to have you! Please complete the short volunteer request no later than Friday, March 31, 2023. There is no limit to the number of volunteers who can participate. Music will be provided in advance of the conference and a practice session will be held on the afternoon of June 29, prior to the Opening. Make some music and memories with your colleagues!
