Financial hardships, which have been exacerbated by the pandemic, are a significant obstacle to students continuing their program of study. Recognizing this hurdle, the Ellucian Foundation is again offering the Progress, Accomplishment, Thriving, Hope (PATH) Scholarship Program for 2023 to help higher education institutions support students experiencing economic hardship.
NASFAA joined several other higher education organizations in a letter urging members of Congress to keep student aid funding a high priority during the fiscal year (FY) 2024 appropriations process.

Last year, the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) conducted a survey of higher education employees that showed a landscape where more than half of employees were looking for other employment opportunities, a trend that appeared to be getting worse. CUPA-HR is preparing to conduct this survey again to evaluate whether there are any changes from last year, as well as to assess how institutions have mitigated the retention crisis. The survey will be open from April 10-21. It is intended for all higher education employees (full-time, part-time, exempt, non-exempt) who are not faculty. All responses are entirely confidential and will be reported in aggregate only. None of the information provided will be associated with the respondent’s specific institution. Identifying information will not be associated with the responses.
