The Department of Education (ED) on Tuesday announced an update to its College Scorecard, a free online tool that helps students make decisions when choosing a college or university. The update will help students find and enroll in postsecondary institutions with high-value programs, ED said in its announcement.

The 2022 NACUBO Tuition Discounting Study, released on Monday, found that the majority of private colleges and universities clear the 50% mark in their tuition discount rates.

The Department of Education (ED) announced through the Federal Register last week that institutions that currently participate in the Second Chance Pell (SCP) experiment must send a letter to apply to participate in a revised SCP institution-based experiment by May 18, 2023. According to ED, institutions that currently offer SCP programs must apply in order to continue offering those programs. Letters of interest must be submitted by electronic mail to [email protected].
