NASFAA, along with other higher education organizations, signed onto a letter to House leadership in support of the FAFSA Deadline Act, which is currently on the House floor. If enacted the legislation would make October 1 the official launch date for the FAFSA each year.
NASFAA, along with dozens of other higher education organizations, signed onto a letter to the Department of Education (ED) outlining several issues institutions have faced as the institutional reporting requirements for gainful employment and financial value transparency (GE/FVT) deadline nears, and called on the department to provide resources to institutions.
Federal program reviews are currently paused, but they will begin again. Looking to prepare for the certification exam? Then be sure to sign up for the NASFAA FAAC® Exam Preparation Online Workshop. This facilitated virtual experience will be led by NASFAA training staff members and currently certified FAACs. Participants will also receive complimentary access to the exam preparation guide, a practice test (only available to workshop attendees), and the knowledge exam. The workshop takes place in weekly online meetings via Zoom from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. ET between January 14 and February 13, 2025. Meetings start in January, so reserve your seat today.
