As a follow-up to our February 2023 FAFSA Simplification Pre-Implementation Survey, NASFAA administered a post-implementation Survey in October 2024. NASFAA asked members in our pre-implementation survey to rate a number of resources from different sources by how helpful they were in helping them prepare for upcoming changes from the FAFSA Simplification Act. In the post-implementation survey, we asked respondents to rate similar resources in terms of how helpful they were in helping them navigate the delays associated with the 2024-25 FAFSA launch. The survey – which added new questions to the post-implementation survey to address the impacts of the 2024-25 rollout that could not have been anticipated when we administered our pre-implementation survey – received 782 responses for a 27% response rate. 

To formally kick off the 2024-25 Advocacy Pipeline, NASFAA last month hosted two members in Washington, D.C. to engage in meetings with congressional staffers from Vermont and Missouri. Ryan Dulude from the Community College of Vermont and Emily Haynam from the University of Missouri met with the offices of Sens. Peter Welch (R-Vt.) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Reps. Becca Balint (D-Vt.) and Blaine Luetkemyer (R-Mo.).
