Federal Student Aid (FSA) kicked off its week-long virtual training conference on Tuesday, touching on important information related to both 2024-25 and 2025-26 FAFSA cycles.
NASFAA is pleased to announce the members of the 2024-25 Diversity Leadership Program (DLP) class: Jonathan Charres of Chapman University (WASFAA); Monica Comeaux of University of Houston-Downtown (SWASFAA); Daisha Holmes of Johnson County Community College (RMASFAA); Brenda Ilojiole of Bethune-Cookman University (SASFAA); Quintin Sipp of Columbia University (EASFAA); and Monique Ware of Ivy Tech Community College (MASFAA). The DLP, unveiled in 2018, provides selectees from a wide range of diverse backgrounds with a robust portfolio of benefits, mentorship, and guidance on how to develop as a financial aid association leader at the state, regional, and national level. Stay tuned to Today's News in the coming weeks to learn more about the 2024-25 class.
In financial aid, how does a bill really become a law? And how do we implement it once it gets signed? To quote Schoolhouse Rock!, "While a few key congressmen discuss and debate whether they should let me be a law. How I hope and pray that they will, but today I am still just a bill." Join NASFAA for this upcoming webinar on December 11 at 2 p.m. ET to learn how we help bills cross the finish line and, more importantly, what happens once they do.
