NASFAA is embarking on work to explore data sharing in the context of federal tax information (FTI). The project aims to help financial aid administrators understand the new limits of their authority to share, re-disclose, and publish student-level and aggregate FAFSA data and FTI in light of the changes resulting from the FUTURE Act and the FAFSA Simplification Act. For this project, NASFAA has partnered with the National College Attainment Network (NCAN), the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE), the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO), the Data Quality Campaign (DQC), and the Student Success Through Applied Research (SSTAR) Lab. This project is generously funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Follow Today’s News for project updates.
