NEWS FROM NASFAA

After a glitchy rollout of the 2024-25 FAFSA and fears that this rollout could hinder students from enrolling in college, new data from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center (NSCRC) found that freshmen enrollment this fall is up 5.5% from the previous year, with total postsecondary enrollment up 4.5% this fall.

It's that time again — Financial Aid Awareness Month has arrived! We want to know how you, our members, are spreading awareness and highlighting your efforts to keep students and families informed about financial aid available. Need some ideas? Utilize our newly remodeled FinAidFeb Event Planning guide for suggestions. Be sure to keep NASFAA in the loop by sharing about your Financial Aid Awareness Month efforts and events on social media using the hashtag #FinAidFeb. Thank you for all you do!

When Partner Connect and the E-App changed at the beginning of 2024, schools discovered they would need to add some unanticipated details to their application the first time they did a submission after that. And when the process and documentation to apply to be a Prison Education Program (PEP) via the E-App changed in the fall of 2024, it left schools with some questions about how to prepare before they do the actual application. This webinar, now available on demand, will share some real life experiences about the first time a college goes through the E-App after the changes in 2024.
