Meet Paul Friebus, FAAC®, director of financial aid training and compliance at Ivy Tech Community College. Paul began his career in financial aid when he was looking for a fresh start. Taking a leap of faith, he joined the team at Ivy Tech Community College and never looked back. As the director of financial aid training and compliance, he works directly with the various campuses across the state to create training materials and host events.
On Thursday night, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration’s reduction in force (RIF), ruling that the administration must reinstate the thousands of federal probationary workers across federal agencies who were fired. In a court filing on Monday, the Department of Education (ED) specifically noted that 65 probationary workers at ED were fired. In response to the judge's order all 65 of those employees have been reinstated and placed on paid administrative leave, according to the filing.
