NEWS FROM NASFAA

NASFAA is pleased to share its comments on the 2026-27 FAFSA. In this first round of comments, NASFAA praised ED for resuming its standard FAFSA schedule including two rounds of public comments and a planned October 1 release. NASFAA made several question-specific suggestions, and also urged ED to fully operationalize the FAFSA Simplification Act by ensuring applicants with contributors who don’t have a Social Security Number can use the FA-DDX process.
