NEWS FROM NASFAA

Now that Congress has completed its work on fiscal year (FY) 2025 spending levels by passing legislation to fund the federal government through September 30, NASFAA, along with over a dozen higher education organizations, led by the American Council on Education, sent a letter urging the Department of Education (ED) to confirm the funding levels for all higher education programs.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention Primary Contacts: Check Your Inbox for Your Dues Renewal Invoice

Last week, all primary contacts should have received a NASFAA membership dues renewal invoice via email. If you are NASFAA's primary contact for your institution/organization and you did not receive your invoice, please contact Membership Services or call (202) 785-0453 Ext.1 or download your invoice from our website. Thank you for supporting NASFAA; your membership dues make up roughly 60% of our annual revenues, which makes it possible for NASFAA to press on in its advocacy and research efforts, meet your training needs, and support your office functions.

Financial aid administrators operate in a regulated environment where even concepts of time might not mean what they do in day-to-day life. An hour, a day, a week, and a year are all regulated calendar terms with a lot of subregulatory guidance attached. In this webinar, today at 2 p.m. ET, we will parse out these terms and explore how even subtle changes to academic programs and courses could impact payment periods, semesters or quarters, and the timing of disbursements and student eligibility determinations. Reserve your seat!

Don’t just rely on required Single Audits to test your compliance with federal rules and regulations. Allow Blue Icon Advisors to perform a complete compliance review to eliminate risks at your campus not identified by required audits. Contact Blue Icon today to explore options.
