NEWS FROM NASFAA

With the House having recently passed its reconciliation bill and the Senate now considering how to revise it, two new analyses show how this bill could impact students’ financial aid by either shrinking or completely eliminating their Pell Grant eligibility.

NASFAA is set to host its second annual Prison Education Program (PEP) Convening, an event critical to strengthening higher education opportunities for incarcerated individuals. Titled "Aligning Efforts: Navigating the Intersection of Student Services and Prison Education," the in-person gathering will take place this week from Wednesday, June 4, through Saturday, June 7th, in Washington, DC.

NASFAA UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

At this year's NASFAA Virtual Conference, attendees can prepare for NASFAA's Consumer Information Professional Credential in a training with NASFAA U instructors, who will discuss consumer information requirements, including required disclosures of institutional information, financial assistance information, campus and fire safety, completion and transfer-out rates, and athletics. Completing this live, online training qualifies participants to take the corresponding NASFAA Professional Credential test at no additional cost.
