The early availability of the FAFSA in 2017-18 has raised a number of questions about timing of admissions and financial aid activities not only among aid administrators, but also with our colleagues in the admissions and school counseling fields. The NASFAA PPY Task Force has put together some tools for you to share with your colleagues in these areas. There is a quick survey instrument your admissions office can use to find out what your neighbors and competitors are planning and thus inform their own plans. There is a similar checklist for high school counselors to use in order to gather information on colleges their students apply to. Finally, there is a checklist for aid administrators to use in discussing options and issues with our admissions colleagues.
These tools are intended to be shared with colleagues and complement the forthcoming timeline implementation decision-making tool. Please check the PPY Toolkit regularly as we continue to add new items.
