Dear NASFAA Members,

We are writing to update you on the progress of our search for a new President and CEO. The Board of Directors has been diligently working to ensure a smooth transition and to find the best possible leader for NASFAA. At our June 15 Board meeting in Milwaukee, we agreed to several guiding principles for the composition of the Presidential Search Committee (PSC):

• The PSC will begin its work no sooner than July 1, 2024, the start of the new fiscal year, and will complete it once the National Chair and Board have selected and negotiated a signed contract with a new President and CEO.
• The PSC will consist of a chair plus four to six sitting/voting members of the 2024-25 NASFAA Board.
• The PSC will include a non-voting staff delegate whose role is to support and advise.

Now that a new fiscal year has commenced as of July 1, NASFAA’s Board of Directors will take the following additional actions:

• The Board will vote to accept a PSC Charter, complete with the names of selected PSC members.
• The PSC will evaluate potential search firms and make a selection.
• Once engaged, the search firm will begin developing a job description for the next CEO and gathering feedback from key stakeholder groups, in coordination with the PSC.
