In an attempt to ensure a safe and healthy environment for conference attendees, reduce the spread of COVID-19, and be in compliance with all current and possible future federal and local requirements, all attendees at NASFAA's 2022 Leadership & Legislative Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to the start of the event in order to attend. This is not meant as an association position on universal vaccine mandates, but rather a hedge against the reality of ongoing and rapidly changing local and federal requirements that could impede us from having any in-person event. Attendees should be prepared to show proof of vaccination at the event in the form of a vaccination card or photo of their vaccination card.
We understand that requiring a vaccination may preclude some individuals from attending the event. This is regrettable, and we hope we are well beyond this situation for future in-person events, but for this year we are planning to go the most conservative route to reduce the possibility of COVID transmission, mitigate concerns among attendees, and reduce complexity for on-site staff members. NASFAA staff are also fully vaccinated. You may read below about additional safety measures we will be taking.
Please note: If you are registering on someone else's behalf, you will need to know their vaccination status in order to register them as they will be required to show proof of vaccination on-site if requested.

Each participant is responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, other meal costs, and incidental expenses. View conference travel and hotel information, local dining suggestions, as well as a site full of fun things to do in Washington, D.C.
An optional bus tour of D.C.'s historic monuments is available as an add-on event on Sunday evening for registrants of the Association Leadership, Compliance Management, Strategic Enrollment Management, and Succession Planning pathways. The Monday night bus tour is available only to FAAC Forum participants and is included with the cost of registration.
In light of the COVID pandemic, bus tour tickets are limited this year only to registered conference attendees. Please be aware, though all conference attendees will have affirmed previously that they have been fully vaccinated, the tour bus company does not require its drivers to be vaccinated. Per the bus company, all drivers and passengers are required to wear masks while on the bus.

Requests for sign language interpreters should be emailed to [email protected] no later than December 16, 2021; requests for accommodations submitted after the deadline will be considered, but NASFAA may not be able to provide the requested accommodation due to lack of advance notice.

Individuals unable to attend the conference due to vaccination status may request session recordings from any one of the available pathways. When you register for the conference, you are agreeing to comply with the following cancellation fee schedule:
Please note: These fees apply to both "Pay Now" and "Pay Later" registrations. If you do not cancel, or complete the Change of Attendee Form to indicate who will attend in your place, by 5:00 p.m. ET on February 4, 2022, you will be responsible for the full amount of the registration fees and will be billed. Once you note a replacement attendee, no cancellation fees will apply.
Cancellation Due to Illness or Potential COVID Symptoms
If you experience any of the symptoms listed below in the 14 days leading up to, or during, the conference, or you have been in contact with someone who has recently contracted COVID-19, we ask that you not attend. Please complete the Cancellation Form and indicate in the "Reason for Cancellation" field that you are symptomatic or have been in close contact recently with someone with COVID-19. You will be issued a full refund. We thank you for your dedication to helping prevent any potential spread and to keeping other conference attendees and staff safe.
