Trellis’ Student Financial Wellness Survey (SFWS) is implemented each fall and covers a broad range of topics, including financial behaviors and decision-making, financial knowledge, paying for college, financial security, basic needs security, and mental health. The survey allows for the exploration of the connection between student finances and student success. Participation in the SFWS is free and all participating institutions receive a school-level report of findings. In this session, Trellis will provide an overview of some of the findings from the fall 2021 survey and the process to participate. Co-presenters from the University of Oklahoma and Imperial Valley Community College will then describe their experience with the process of participating and the various ways they have used the information in their financial aid offices and throughout the institution.
