The FAAC® designation awarded through NASFAA's Certified Financial Aid Administrator® (CFAA) Program recognizes financial aid professionals who have demonstrated the foundational knowledge and experience needed to effectively administer Title IV federal student aid programs. By maintaining the designation through recertification every three years, FAACs demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and excellence in the profession. Earning 100 or more recertification points (RPs) by the end of a recertification cycle gains the FAAC® membership in the prestigious 100+ Club when they recertify. Accumulation of RPs at this level demonstrates exceptionally strong commitment to professional growth and significant contribution to the financial aid profession.
Recipients must complete the earning criteria to earn this badge.
To qualify for certification, candidates must meet stringent eligibility requirements. To recertify, an FAAC® must earn the minimum number of RPs and reaffirm their commitment to adhering to NASFAA’s Code of Conduct and upholding NASFAA’s Statement of Ethical Principles. RPs are earned through completing financial aid-related continuing education, qualifying leadership, instruction, authorship, advocacy, and other activities contributing to the profession.
Members of the 100+ Club have gone above and beyond the minimum requirements for maintaining the FAAC® designation. To qualify to recertify as a 100+ Club member, a certified individual must accumulate at least 100 RPs by the end of the recertification period. Membership in the 100+ Club is officially conferred upon recertification and remains valid through the next three-year certification period.
