The Department recently informed NASFAA that it will not be able to support the conference to the extent previously communicated. We are pleased that attendees can still expect the two general sessions featuring Department officials, as well as two breakout sessions. However, the Department will not host its Ask-A-Fed booth or Partner Connect support in the exhibit hall.
We recognize that many attendees value opportunities to engage directly with Department of Education staff, and we share their appreciation for the insight those conversations can provide. While the Department's participation this year will be more limited than in previous years, NASFAA remains committed to providing timely information, practical guidance, and meaningful opportunities for attendees to engage on the policy and operational issues affecting their campuses.
Attendees were invited to submit questions for Under Secretary Kent to address during the fireside chat on Tuesday morning and for the Federal Update on Wednesday morning. While we cannot guarantee that all questions will be addressed, we will do our best to incorporate those of broad interest to attendees.
Our policy, regulatory, and training experts will address the latest developments and help attendees prepare for the changes ahead. We encourage participants to take advantage of the Federal Update and listening session, as well as other policy-focused programming throughout the conference.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you to National Harbor.
