Gena Boling, FAAC® is the associate vice provost for enrollment at Cornell University and serves as the university's chief enrollment compliance officer. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, Gena leads a team focused on compliance program management which serves as a partner to multiple institutional offices with assigned regulatory responsibilities under the GLBA and Title IV of the HEA. Before stepping into her current role, Gena served as a financial aid administrator in the Midwest, focusing on the areas of Title IV compliance and technology solutions. She regularly draws on her past life in student affairs to force everyone to do icebreakers and ensure student-friendly compliance initiatives. Gena is an FAAC® and holds 17 NASFAA Credentials and enjoys brainstorming innovative ideas for navigating the compliance landscape in higher education.

Keri started her career in financial aid at the University of Missouri-Columbia and rapidly discovered her passion for helping students navigate the complex world of paying for college. She has a deep love for advocacy and has visited with legislators in Jefferson City and Washington, D.C. to fight for program funding and initiatives to simplify the financial aid process. Keri’s passion and dedication to students and their success is infectious, and she has been recognized at both the state and regional level for her work. She has received numerous awards for her committee efforts, and is a recipient of both the MASFAP Bob Berger Newcomer Award and MASFAA Outstanding New Professional Award. Keri has also earned all 17 NASFAA credentials and is a Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC®) . Keri is currently the director of financial aid at Stephens College. In addition to her work with Stephens, Keri serves on the executive board of the Missouri Association of Student Financial Aid Personnel and the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

Nathan Lohr is Director of Financial Aid at the University of Indianapolis. Prior to joining UIndy in June 2021, he worked for over eight years in the IUPUI Office of Student Financial Services as an assistant and associate director with a focus on graduate students, distance education, and student services. Nathan got his start in higher education at Harrison College, serving as an admissions representative, financial aid analyst, and assistant director of financial aid. He currently serves as Vice President of MASFAA and Treasurer-Elect of ISFAA. Nathan holds a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Arts in quantitative analysis from Franklin College and lives in Indianapolis, IN with his wife and two sons.

Melissa Van Meter is a two-time Ohio University alumna who began working in the university’s Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships as a Federal Work-Study student her freshman year. Almost 30 years later, she serves as Director of Operations within the office. During her tenure, she has directly and indirectly supervised the verification, federal grant, employment, online learning, and Satisfactory Academic Progress areas and manages professional judgment processing. She is also responsible for communication and compliance efforts for the office, including policy and procedure creation and management along with audit preparation. Melissa lives in a very rural part of Southeastern Ohio with her husband and two children; the oldest of whom graduated from Ohio University this spring.
