Before requesting a NASFAA speaker to present at your event, we recommend reviewing our tips for hosting a NASFAA representative:
- For NASFAA-affiliated state and regional in-person speaking engagements: NASFAA covers travel costs; your association waives conference registration fees and covers housing costs.
- We recommend that your conference coordinators arrange hotel accommodations for the NASFAA speaker.
- Please share your association's booking requirements and reimbursement processes with your NASFAA representative to clarify travel bookings and payments.
- If you require the NASFAA speaker to make hotel bookings, please provide clear instructions on where/how to make those bookings.
- Please send the NASFAA speaker a copy of the hotel confirmation number when it becomes available.
- Please provide the NASFAA speaker with clear instructions on where/how to register for the conference, if needed.
- Please provide any helpful transportation information, including, but not limited to:
- Will transportation be provided to and from the conference and airport?
- Where is the hotel in relation to the conference center and/or airport?
- NASFAA speaker bios and headshots are available at nasfaa.org/Speaker_Request_Form.
- Sessions are approximately one hour in length unless otherwise discussed with the NASFAA speaker.
- Please inform your NASFAA speaker of any technology preferences for the presentation. Options include using a laptop or thumb drive or submitting it via email prior to the event. We strive to present the most up-to-date information as possible. Therefore, some presentations may not be available until the day of the session or shortly afterward.
- Please update your NASFAA representative with the conference coordinator/point of contact information, particularly for any day-of-event communications.
- Please discuss with the NASFAA representative if there are other events you would like them to attend outside of sessions (ex, VIP Dinner, Welcome Receptions, etc)
- Contact Christine Attardo with questions and NASFAA coordination details.
