Ben Montecillo
SWASFAA Representative, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
Ben Montecillo, MPA, serves as the associate managing director at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He has over 13 years of progressively responsible roles as a financial aid administrator. During Ben’s time in the financial aid community, he has presented at numerous conferences at the state, regional, and national levels. He has also been an active contributor in associations by serving on TASFAA (Texas), Southwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SWASFAA), and NASFAA committees. In 2019, he was elected as the Texas delegate-at-large for SWASFAA, and in 2021 was elected to serve as SWASFAA’s 2023 president. Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and his MPA at Texas Tech University.
