Schedule

Weekly online meetings occur each Friday, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. ET, for six weeks. 

Weekly meetings are recorded for those who develop unexpected conflicts during the 6-week period. However, live virtual attendance is needed each week for dialog and conversation as we discuss the application of ideas and concepts.

Group Size

Registration is limited to facilitate an active, small-group experience. Seats are reserved at registration and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If a group is canceled for any reason, a refund will be provided or priority registration will be offered for the next scheduled group.

Topics

Your group will focus on key topics during the 6-week experience.

  • Defining P&Ps
    Examine policies and procedures to build a solid foundational understanding of what defines a policy and procedure.
  • Evaluating P&Ps for Compliance and Best Practices
    Gain an understanding of how to analyze and review an existing policy and procedure and apply your knowledge in performing an assessment.
  • Learning to Develop P&Ps
    Utilize identified resources that guide your development and practice drafting or editing policies and procedures that are required for your Title IV Federal Student Aid administration.
  • Understanding the P&P Cycle
    Explore how to identify needed updates to keep your well-developed policies and procedures current and consistent with your office operations.
  • Maintaining and Managing P&Ps
    Define a project plan to guide you in constructing all policies and procedures to create a comprehensive manual. 
  • Presenting your Strategy to Institutional Leadership
    Deliver a capstone presentation that communicates your strategy for creating all required policies and procedures and the importance of managing the written documentation effectively in a culture of compliance.

The price includes all six weeks!

  • NASFAA Members: $1,195
  • Non-members: $1,395

Required Equipment

To participate, you must have a working webcam on your computer, the ability to participate via speakers, screen sharing of group materials, and a microphone (either computer or phone), as well as access to Zoom video conferencing software (accounts are free at zoom.us) and Google classroom. To ensure the best possible experience, participants are strongly discouraged from participating by phone only. 

Time Commitment

For each week, your time commitment will include two hours for the group meeting, plus 1-4 hours to complete the homework assignments prior to the weekly meeting. 

CFAA Recertification Points and/or Letter of Completion

Available for those who participate in all six sessions and complete the six homework assignments.
